I say we arrange the display something like we had for Reading (but for the 517th). Ike's clearly has fewer spectators, but if Craig is bringing his jump door, We'll have a good demonstration feature.
There's not a lot that I can think of that we can do extra without spending a lot of money. I was thinking of trying to make some authentic looking French Road signs... but it requires a fair amount of cargo space to hold a sign that would be about 4x4

I agree. The Reading layout worked well for us. But maybe we need something a little extra to get more people into our tent. It seems that most people will look at our exterior display and continue on. Other than saying that they can come inside, anything else we could do?
Craig is suppose to be bringing his Jump Door and possibly his jeep. Larry may also be bringing his jeep and I'm not sure about Rob.
So far we have 9 guys attending. Me, John, Neal, Craig, Rob, Akers, Ben, Skip, and Larry. If everyone shows up, that would be awesome!
Neal, what time are you planning on arriving that Friday? I'll be working half a day and once I fight through Harrisburg traffic, I plan on getting there after 4 pm.

I was thinking about making small mine field. I’ve got two box mines and one s-mine.
Wow we're going to have more than four guys like last year!
I know that it says F Company 2d battalion I made this when was in Dc! I'm waiting on getting a new password! Sorry about that!

Mr. Hess probably isn't coming to Ike's. Matt, if you remember from the Eckley event when I asked him if he wanted to see any of our display he said it would bring back too many memories. I had considered asking him to be our advisor but after hearing that, I'm not going to push too much. When we talked at Eckley, it sounded like he went through a lot in the war. He described to me how one of his guys died on a patrol during the Bulge. I'm in contact via e-mail with him mostly to say hello and see how he's doing. If he wants to get more involved so be it, but right now I'm not bothering him about the war.

I'm not sure what you mean. Ben did e-mail me about attending Ike's.
Do you mean something else?

I don't get the 517th newsletter. I'm assuming Ben517@aol.com is not Branson but a different Ben.
I can't see how mentioning our attending Ike's in the newsletter would be a bad thing. If you're in contact with the guy, go ahead and tell him to put in a little blurp about us at Ike's.

I've emailed that guy about recieving the newsletter and have never gotten any response. It looks as if I won't be able to attend Ike's now, but I will be there for a while Saturday. As of right now, Skip isn't able to get off work because they are short handed.

That sucks about Skip but at least you can make it out Saturday.
Weather is iffy this weekend. Looks like we may have some rain. Temperatures should be around mid to high 60's in the day and 50's at night. Make sure to bring warm sleeping clothes. It's been quite chilly at night for the past two years.
